The winning proposal for the ‘Promotion of Permanent Projects in Public Spaces, Tbilisi, Saarbrücken Square’ is Giorgi Khaniashvili’s application with his own artwork working title ‘Network’.
Giorgi khaniashvili (b.1982) is a Tbilisi-based artist. He graduated from the Tbilisi State Academy of the Fine Arts, faculty of the Fine Arts in 2007 and gained wide recognition for his wooden reliefs and sculptures. Khaniashvili's artistic exploration is deeply rooted in the examination of cross-cultural symbols, encompassing religious, Soviet-era, and contemporary capitalist iconography.
From 2013 he has been actively exhibiting both in Georgia and abroad
